Programs

Exploring Art (formerly "Time Out For Seniors")

This program (formerly known as "Time Out For Seniors") is branching out to offer an opportunity for all adults to get together and paint and explore different artistic styles and media. You do not need to be a senior to join this group of fun and dynamic explorers! Although there is no instructor for the general program, the participants learn from each other and are inspired and challenged by working within a supportive group of interested individuals. Throughout the term, optional workshops will be offered with instructors to explore new media.

If you are interested in participating call the gallery at 250-782-2601.

Workshops

Throughout the year, the Dawson Creek Art Gallery offers a comprehensive program of art classes and workshops for all ages. Not only does the gallery provide a series of after school classes for ages 5 to 15, it also schedules weekend and evening workshops for adults with local and regional instructors in a wide variety of artistic media.

Throughout July and August the Art Gallery partners with the Kiwanis Arts Center and Northern Lights College to offer the Peace Country Summer School of the Arts featuring programs in visual and performing arts as well as general interest workshops.

Permanent Collection

The South Peace Art Society and the Dawson Creek Art Gallery maintains a permanent collection in trust for the citizens of Dawson Creek and area.
